IFC, Moove Join Forces to Boost Urban Mobility, Improve Gender Balance in the Sector

LAGOS, Nigeria - August 9, 2021 – Moove, an African mobility fintech, today announced that it has raised $23 million in a Series A funding round led by Speedinvest and Left Lane Capital, with participation from DCM Ventures, Clocktower Technology Ventures, the, LocalGlobe, Tekton, and FJ Labs. Existing lender, EMSO Asset Management, also joined the round. This brings Moove’s total equity funding to $28.2 million since launching in June 2020. Moove is the first investment in Africa for many of its U.S. VC backers, underscoring the opportunity for a platform like Moove to address the continent’s vehicle financing gap.
